About NCVA
Founded in 1986, the National Congress of Vietnamese Americans is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community advocacy organization working to advance the cause of Vietnamese Americans in a plural but united America – e pluribus unum – by participating actively and fully as civic minded citizens engaged in the areas of education, culture and civil liberties.

The National Congress of Vietnamese Americans (NCVA) currently hosts or supports the following programs to further our mission of increasing participation of Vietnamese Americans and Asian Pacific Americans in the political process at the national, state and local levels on issues that impacts the communities of interests, including education, health, immigration and public policy.

Events

Financial Literacy

  • Credit Smart (English / Spanish / Asian)
    • A curriculum to help consumers understand, build and maintain better credit.
  • Financial Education Program (English / Spanish)
    • A curriculum and Facilitator's Guide provides the basic knowledge of personal finances that everyone needs to build wealth.
  • Jump$tart Coalition
    • Strengthening personal finance education and insuring that personal finance management skills are attained during K-12 education.
  • Money Smart
    • Money Smart is a training program to help adults outside the financial mainstream enhance their money skills and create positive banking relationships.
  • My Money
    • Financial education database managed by the Federal Financial Literacy and Education Commission.
  • NEFE Economic Independence Clearinghouse
    • Financial education materials to teach and motivate underserved segments of society, (including the newly employed, young workers, individuals moving from welfare to work, and immigrants) to make changes leading to economic independence.
  • U.S. Department of Treasury's Clearinghouse
    • Financial education materials that government agencies have developed.
